Our little 8 month old kitten was recently diagnosed with a terrible disease called FIP - which up until recently was a deadly disease. There is a drug called GS-441524 which has cured cats with FIP but is currently not registered in NZ - so you need to buy this from overseas. The drug is very expensive ~$200 per 7ml vial. Each vial lasting about 3 days - based on her current bodyweight (which is increasing). Treatment with GS must be given for 84 days.

We have given her 11 days of treatment, which has resulted in her gaining weight, improving her mood, and clearing up a cloudy eye. She unfortunately has ataxia of the hindlimbs - so she falls with every step she takes.

There is a donation program with the website (curefip.com) that we have recently successfully sourced GS - which has dramatically improved her condition - where the website will kindly match any donations.
