Being born to a Petsmart and fighting for her right to food, Akame is a cat who we had adopted at 8 and a half months of age. Her mews and reluctance to go back into her cage made us fall in love with her, and soon she loved to play, explore, and take naps while we watched anime. Always energetic, Akame would always find herself on the top of our counters and fridge. But unfortunately, we noticed a sharp change in her demeanor.

As time went on, her belly grew and her energy faltered. With a heavy heart, her veterinarian delivered the horrible news: Akame had FIP, and her prognosis was only a couple of weeks without treatment.
