CURE FIP™ Relapse Program

Don't Give Up.

With CURE FIP™, you can start over.

Recurrence after FIP treatment is rare. The recurrence rate among cases where CURE FIP™ has completed treatment is only about 3%. However, responding quickly and correctly when a recurrence occurs is key to recovery. Based on our experience with recurrence cases accumulated since 2019, we operate clear support policies and a retreatment discount program of up to 50% to help guardians restart treatment.

Why does FIP recurrence occur?

There are two main causes of FIP recurrence:

  1. Incomplete Viral Suppression: If the virus is not completely suppressed during the treatment period, it may reactivate after treatment ends. This can occur if the treatment duration was insufficient or the dosage was inappropriate.

  2. Resistance Variants to GS-441524

According to research by Dr. Niels Pedersen of UC Davis, some cases of relapse are associated with viral resistance variants to GS-441524. In these cases, dose adjustment or combination therapy with EIDD-1931 may be necessary rather than simple re-administration.

If you suspect a relapse, please undergo a blood test immediately and request a case review from us. We will guide you toward the optimal treatment direction based on the cause of the relapse.

**Relapse Support Program Guide**

Depending on the relapse situation and treatment history, you may receive support in the following four cases:

✅ Case 1. Completion of the full 84-day treatment with CURE FIP™ products

This is the case that provides the most comprehensive support.

If you complete the full 84-day treatment course using only CURE FIP™ products and a relapse occurs within 12 months of the end of treatment, we offer a 50% discount on retreatment costs for up to 84 days. Eligibility Requirements:

Completion of the full 84-day treatment using only CURE FIP™ products

Recurrence occurring within 12 months of treatment completion

Information required for application:

Treatment start and end dates

Blood test results at the time of treatment completion

Please share the above information via chat or KakaoTalk, and our professional consultation team will guide you through an individual retreatment plan.

💡 Retreatment Duration: Depending on the severity of the recurrence symptoms, it may take approximately 2 weeks for mild cases and up to 12 weeks for severe cases. The exact duration will be provided individually after a case review.

✅ Case 2. Cases where treatment was completed before 84 days using CURE FIP™ products

Many cats achieve full clinical recovery before 84 days. We respect the judgment of both the owner and the veterinarian, and we apply the Recurrence Support Program even to cases where treatment was terminated early.

A 50% discount on retreatment costs is provided if you meet the following conditions.

Eligibility Requirements:

Exclusive use of CURE FIP™ products only

Recurrence within 6 months of treatment completion

Possession of blood test results confirming that major blood levels were within the normal range at the time of treatment completion

No invasive medical procedures, such as neutering or vaccination, received within 84 days of treatment completion

⚠️ Information on Invasive Procedures: Neutering or vaccination can induce immunosuppression and increase the risk of FIP recurrence. We recommend avoiding these procedures for at least 84 days after treatment completion. Please consult with a veterinarian if you are currently undergoing treatment or have just completed it.

Information Required for Application:

Treatment start and end dates

Blood test results at the time of treatment completion

⚠️ Case 3. Incomplete blood tests prior to treatment completion

If you did not confirm through blood tests that major levels had returned to the normal range before treatment completion, the recurrence treatment discount program does not apply.

However, if a recurrence occurs, do not give up on treatment.

If you share your case via chat or KakaoTalk, we will guide you to the optimal treatment options tailored to your current condition. Our expert counseling team will review the following treatment directions with you:

Extension of existing treatment protocols and dosage adjustments

Review of EIDD-1931 combination therapy based on your condition

💡 Guidance for the Future

Blood tests before the end of treatment are the most critical step in confirming treatment success. Please ensure that you complete a blood test before the end of your next treatment. Our counseling team will also guide you on the timing and items of the test.

🔄 Case 4. Have you used products from other brands?

Please contact us if a relapse occurs while treating with products from other companies.

Since GS-441524 concentrations, excipient compositions, and treatment protocols vary by brand, it is difficult to predict treatment outcomes if a relapse occurs after using a combination of products or a third-party product alone. Our expert team will thoroughly review your previous treatment history and guide you through a new treatment plan.

Based on our experience handling various relapse cases since 2019, CURE FIP KOREA helps you find the best treatment direction in any situation. ※ The regular relapse treatment discount program does not apply if you have a history of using products from other companies. However, separate support measures may be considered after consultation, depending on the individual case.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q. How do I check if it is a relapse?

If symptoms such as loss of appetite, weight loss, fever, reaccumulation of ascites or pleural fluid, or eye abnormalities appear after the end of treatment, please undergo a blood test immediately. If you share your blood test results with us, we will review the relapse together.

Q. Can I use the same product and dosage as before in case of a relapse?

Not necessarily. If the cause of the relapse is a resistance mutation, re-administering the same dosage may have limited efficacy. After a case review, we will determine whether to adjust the dosage or use EIDD-1931 in combination. Q. How long does relapse treatment take?

Depending on the severity of symptoms and the cause of the relapse, treatment may take approximately 2 weeks for mild cases and up to 12 weeks for severe cases. We will provide an estimated treatment duration after reviewing each individual case.

Q. What is EIDD-1931?

EIDD-1931 is an antiviral agent with a different mechanism of action than GS-441524. It can be used in combination or alone in relapse cases where resistance to GS-441524 is suspected. It is also receiving attention in the UC Davis study as an alternative treatment approach for resistant cases.

Q. How long does it take after applying for the discount program?

We will provide a retreatment plan and notification of discount application within 48 hours of reviewing the case.
